Captain Bill "Whip" Whitaker (Denzel Washington), an airline pilot, wakes up in his hotel room with flight attendant Katerina Marquez (Nadine Velazquez) once a night of sexual intercourse and heavy alcohol and drug use. Whip, hungover, uses cocaine to prepare himself to fly that will Atlanta.
